Heavy Equipment Specialist

Salary:           $25,268 Annual

Grade:          C112

Location:       Arkansas State Parks Region II Office, Roland, AR

The Heavy Equipment Specialist operates complex mechanized equipment, including cranes, bulldozers, excavator trucks, and track mounted front end loaders, checks the safety of equipment operation, and performs operator level lubrication and maintenance.  Additional job duties include, digging ditches, loading debris, uprooting trees, leveling lots and hauling gravel and dirt.  This position will be required to travel state-wide for weeks at a time. Flexibility and willingness to be away from home are a necessity. Travel expenses paid by employer.  Applicant must have a Commercial Driver’s License, and be able to operate a variety of heavy equipment, including a back hoe, bulldozer, dump truck, etc.  A driver’s record check will be performed.

Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications:  completion of sufficient education or training to read and write; plus three years of experience in operating heavy, mechanized construction and maintenance equipment or related area.  Unqualified individuals need not apply.
