JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/ federal statues and/or guidelines. Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public. Acquires pick-up tickets and completes route in the most efficient manner. Load donations on the truck in the most organized manner to allow as many pickups as possible on each truck load and to minimize damage and breakage to donated items. Cleans and secures the vehicle and equipment, conducts daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition.

Acquires pick-up tickets and organizes route in the most time efficient and fuel efficient manner.
Picks up donations from the various locations.
Loads donations on the trucks in the most organized manner possible to enable as many pickups as possible on each truck load.
Loads donations in an orderly and secure manner to minimize potential damage/breakage to donated merchandise.
Cleans and secures the vehicle and equipment; conducts daily inspections of the vehicle's oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition.
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
Maintain a positive working atmosphere by acting and communicating in a professional manner that will establish and promote a professional working relationship with vendors, donors, customers, beneficiaries, co-workers and management.
Employees in this position must meet all DOT requirements for vehicles associated with this position at all times.
